Our Agua Dulce History   Our roots extend back to 1999, when Agua Dulce Vineyards, LLC was founded with the committment to bring viticulture and fine winemaking back to Los Angeles County. Many people identify northern California with the state’s wine industry, but the history begins here. In the late eighteenth century, the earliest wine grapes in the state were planted in southern California for wines used by Franciscan missionaries. Prohibition and subsequent urban expansion didn’t leave much room for vineyards, but the great topography and climate, which provided the foundation for the industry, remains. In particular, Agua Dulce Vineyards is situated in the tiny town of Agua Dulce, a suburb of Los Angeles at an elevation of 2800 feet. Here, the vines benefit from nutrient rich soils, gorgeous clear days of sunshine, mild daytime temperatures and cool evenings – a grape paradise! The inaugural vintage of Agua Dulce Vineyards’ wines, from estate-grown grapes, was released in 2001. Our direct sell wine opportunity was founded in 2006 with the mission of bringing Agua Dulce Vineyards’ wine to the living rooms and dining rooms of American households. In 2008 we saw an opportunity for beautiful synergies with another direct sell company, SUZANNE.com, and joined our two companies to become the ultimate direct sell business, offering our consultants and their clients a holistic approach to leading a healthier, happier, more beautiful life. The Agua Dulce Vineyareds' wines cannot be found in liquor stores. Our consultants offer their guests an exclusive in-home tasting experience, where they learn about food and wine pairing and how to evaluate wine. In turn, we offer our consultants the incentives, support and resources to seize a truly unique business opportunity. Meanwhile, we focus on making the best wines in Los Angeles County, and more importantly the wines that your friends, family and clients will soon be holding amongst their favorites.
